OpenELEC advantages: superfast bootup!!

How is this possible?
XBMCLive, is almost a complete Ubuntu distro with XBMC running on top and on startup.
OpenELEC is not based on any Linux distribution, it’s build specially for XBMC!

Mine : Cold bootup with OpenELEC using kingston 8GB SSD : 0min 14sec
Can anybody tell me how much storage space openelec and some metadata files will take? Or better what kind of SSD you guys would advice?
It will take around 100 to 120 MB to install and if your save your library local, this will grow in time when adding more movies/music/series.
Take a tiny SSD or a SD card, 2GB is more than enough.
er sorry I run XBMCLive and have ran openelec on a Asrock ION HT 330 and bootup from cold is ~20secs including bios, if your booting in over 1 minute with xbmclive then your doing something wrong.
